The tenth tvebiomovies competition was launched in May 2019 and features video reports from young people globally .
The winners from the 5th Global Youth Video Competition are now online and were highlighted during the UN climate week in New York in September. The three winners attended the COP25 climate conference in Madrid, Spain in December 2019. The competition was run in partnership with the three Rio agencies: UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. the UN Convention to Combat Desertification and the Convention on Biological Diversity. Further support is given by UNDP/GEF Small Grants Programme and BNP Paribas Foundation.
The Tsunami Awareness Day video category supported by the UN office for Disaster Risk Reduction received short videos showcasing ways to ensure that critical infrastructure is built to survive cyclones, tsunamis, floods, earthquakes and other extreme events.
